COLIN Lee believes someone is due a hiding from his Wolves side and its new-look strikeforce of Robert Taylor and Temuri Ketsbaia.
Wolves are yet to win a game this season and were beaten 1-0 at home by Oxford United in the Worthington Cup on Tuesday night.
However, Lee, who splashed out almost £2.5 million for Taylor and Georgian international Ketsbaia, is confident it's only a matter of time before the goals start to fly in.
He sends his side out to face Burnley at Molineux tomorrow expecting an attacking game and is calling on his players to stand up and be counted in the penalty area.
He said: "We have to keep believing in ourselves and we will beat someone by a big score.
"I am sure we will start winning matches but we are struggling to get that first goal at the moment.
"For some reason, whether it's inspired goalkeeping or finishing that's not quite good enough, we aren't scoring enough goals and what we are saying now is a repeat of what we said at Stockport on Saturday."
Wolves drew 1-1 at Edgeley Park after a similar scoreline against 10-man Sheffield Wednesday on the opening weekend of the season.
However, Lee reckons they have had 39 goalbound efforts in those two games whch suggests Wolves are doing something right.
Ketsbaia, an £800,000 signing from Newcastle United, has accounted for a good proportion of those and found the back of the net against Wednesday.
Taylor has played twice alongside him following a £1.55 million arrival from Manchester City and Lee believes the pair can strike up a fruitful partnership.
Keeping the duo subdued will be crucial for Burnley tomorrow and the longer the Clarets can keep Wolves at bay, the better their chances of inflicting a first home defeat on the Midlands club since mid-January.
Wolves are renowned for flying out the blocks before running out of steam if things don't go their way, with an expectant Molineux crowd letting their frustrations show.
And Lee stressed the need to overcome the problem, which struck again last weekend. He added: "We started like a house on fire and all the players were up for it but confidence sapped away and everyone seemed to get anxious.
"That seems to make it a difficult situation but as players they have to be able to handle it."
The Wolves stats man is working overtime and also revealed that during the mid-week reverse against Oxford the home side delivered 58 crosses into the box.
Former Spurs winger Andy Sinton plays a big part in that and Lee would love to repeat that figure tomorrow as Taylor looks to open his account.
He doesn't expect the Clarets to defend so deep, though.
He said: "We are expecting it to be a completely different game against Burnley.
"We have talked about what's required on Saturday and what we didn't do against Oxford and all week has been geared to how to beat Burnley. Burnley will come and attack us more, although there's no doubt we should be beating teams like Oxford and that's a concern."
Lee is on the look-out for a new contral defender to release Neil Emblen into midfield and did make an enquiry about Huddersfield Town's Chris Lucketti. The £4 million asking price killed any prospect of that deal coming off but Wolves did this week agree a fee of around £1.3million for Saudi international striker Sami Al Jaber after he impressed during a trial.
The 27-year-old requires a work permit and won't be available tomorrow but with the squad strength growing, skipper Kevin Musact believes Wolves can be promotion contenders.
He said: "We now have Temuri Ketsbaia and Robert Taylor in the team and the boss is looking to sign more new players so it should be long before we start making a push for the top two spots.
"This club has been away from the top-flight for too long but oncve the squad is back to full strength we can hit top gear."
