A NEW survey has proved what every Lancastrian has always known -- we're much more generous than our Yorkshire neighbours.
The study, produced for the Irish Lottery Bet revealed that those of us from the western side of the Pennines are five times more likely to give to charity than our friends from 'the other side'.
The survey shows that Lancastrians are keener on betting than people in most other areas.
Irish Lottery Bet marketing manager Liz Gaffer said: "We've noticed that people in the Lancashire area are much more inclined to try out new games of chance."
