WOLVES are yet to win a game this season, but Burnley skipper Steve Davis insists the Clarets' needs are just as great going into tomorrow's clash at Molineux.

"They drew their first two games and got beat on Tuesday night so they will be desperate to get a result, but so are we," said Davis.

"We have made a decent start and we want to continue that.

"Our away form has been pretty good since the turn of the year and these are all things that we talk about.

"We have been unbeaten in a few games now and we want to continue that because it breeds confidence."

Burnley's last defeat away from home in the League came at Notts County on January 3, although it's a tougher test this time around in Division One.

"We've got off to a decent start but we know that the teams we are playing against you can't afford to be even 10 per cent down," Davis added.

The Clarets' defence has conceded just one goal to date against Bolton and Wimbledon but faces a sterner examination against Wolves' front pair of Robert Taylor and Temuri Ketsbaia.

Davis admits that the pair will be a handful but is backing himself, Mitchell Thomas and Ian Cox to keep up the good work.

" From our point of view we always knew that we had the ability to play against them and to get a result. But you have got to go out there and prove it," he said.

Burnley face two games in three days with Gillingham due at Turf Moor on Monday and Davis is looking for a profitable Bank Holiday weekend.

"It's important. People talk about Christmas and Easter because of the amount of games you've played. But this is similar because you could double your points.

"If we are sat here next week with eight points from four games we will be delighted, although though we are going for six out of six," he added.
