BURY boss Andy Preece is looking for a holiday double from his side over the next four days.
The Shakers travel to Rotherham United tomorrow and follow that up by entertaining Northampton Town at Gigg Lane on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).
Both are newly promoted from the Third Division and Preece expects his men to get their league form back on track after last weekend's disappointing home defeat by Wrexham.
There was a far better showing from the Shakers at First Division Crewe Alexandra in the Worthington Cup on Tuesday and the boss is looking for a repeat performance against the Yorkshireman at Millmoor tomorrow.
"We were delighted with the display at Crewe and it was good to get a performance like that after the Wrexham game," he said.
"The lads knew they'd let themselves down and got it out of their systems.
"Now we've got to go on again with two very important games in which we need to get as many points as possible.
"Rotherham and Northampton will be on a high after promotion but may still be feeling their feet in the division - they are both games we should be getting point from."
The Millers opened the new campaign with a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Walsall - after holding a 2-0 lead.
However, they followed that up with a 1-0 victory at Colchester last weekend with their former Manchester United new signing Mark Robins on the scoresheet.
Preece has one or two injury worries to occupy his mind over the next 24 hours with central defender Chris Swailes rated doubtful after picking up a thigh injury at Gresty Road.
Winger Ady Littlejohn (achilles) and full-backs Dean Barrick (back) and Nicky Hill (abductor) are struggling and the Bury boss will leave it as late as possible before selecting his side.
Striker Paul Barnes, who missed Tuesday's game with a virus was expected to resume training yesterday while Matt Barrass (virus) has also been back on the training ground this week but needs a couple of reserve outings before being considered for first team duty.
One man who will be keen to put one over on the Shakers tomorrow is Marvin Bryan who moved from Gigg Lane to the Millers in the close season.
Preece, who took him from his former club Blackpool on extended loan at the end of last season, was disappointed the right-sided midfielder chose to make the move over the Pennines but told the Bury Times yesterday that there's no animosity.
"What happened with Marvin has gone and we'll just get on with it now," he said.
"I wish him well at his new club and hope it works out for him."
Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore has injury problems of his own with midfielders Kevin Watson (medial ligaments) and Stewart Talbot (achilles) and defender Chris Beech (hamstring) all rated very doubtful.
On the plus side he does welcome back Surinam-born central defender Brian Wilsterman after a two match suspension.
On Monday Kevin Wilson's Cobblers arrive with their much-vaunted strikeforce of Marco Gabbiadini and Jamie Forrester.
Both were signed in the summer, veteran Gabbiadini from Darlington and Forrester from FC Utrecht for a club record £150,000.
They started the season with a 1-1 home draw against Brentford, were beaten 1-0 by Wycombe at Adams Park last weekend but picked up a fine 1-0 Worthington Cup first leg victory over Fulham on Tuesday night thanks to a Gabbiadini goal.
Kick-off on Monday is 3pm.
