SEAN Connery look-alike Brian Barnsley will don black tie and tuxedo to celebrate the 70th birthday of the Scottish Knight.
Brian, who works on the delicatessen counter at Rawtenstall's Asda store, bears a striking resemblance to the most popular James Bond -- so much so that when he was on holiday in America recently, people kept asking him for his autograph!
In true Bond style, Brian will be joined by a Bond girl Laura-Jo Popland, from grocery, who will be in evening dress to celebrate Sir Sean's birthday today.
They will tour the store offering customers a drink of vodka martini -- shaken not stirred -- in return for a donation to the Asda charity the Wild Valley Project. The project is planning to publish a book of photographs showing the wildlife of Rossendale and linking place names in the Valley with animals found locally.
It is hoped sales of the book will raise £20,000 for animal charities the RSPB, RSPCA and Lancashire Badger Group as well as Rossendale Search and Rescue Team.
Anyone wanting to submit a photograph taken in the Rossendale area to be considered for inclusion in the book can leave it at Rawtenstall Police Station marked for the attention of PC Dale Pollard.
