PAUL Mullin needed no second invitation to leap at the chance to join John Coleman's Accrington Stanley revolution.
Radcliffe rejected Stanley's initial bid of £10,000 last season but found the upped bid of £15,000 too good to turn down for their star man, who found the net 22 times last season.
And, when Borough manager Kevin Glendon called Mullin to one side following their game against Stocksbridge on Saturday to inform him of Coleman's renewed interest, the 26-year-old knew he was on his way.
Mullin, the older brother of Burnley midfielder John, said: "It all came as a bit of a shock but I'm delighted with the move.
"The club is closer to my home in Burnley, and it's a well-supported big club.
"So I didn't need any persuasion. I played against most of the lads last season and they've got an excellent squad.
"So it's going to be tough to even get a place."
So will he be turning to John for any goalscoring tips?
"No! He plays in midfield now and he's still my kid brother," added Mullin.
Coleman was keeping his cards close to his chest over whether Mullin would be brought straight into the side for tommorow's game against another side with a 100 per cent start, Emley.
Coleman said: "That's something we've got to look at. "I was really pleased with Paul's contribution on Tuesday and he's going to be a big addition to the squad.
"But the two lads who started Mark Ceraolo and Liam Watson both did very well.
"We are looking for competition for places all over the park, not just up front and I think we are getting that now."
Coleman is also still tracking the movements of Gary Williams at Doncaster.
At present the player has indicated that he wants to remain in full-time football.
But Williams is not in the starting line-up and Stanley are hoping that he might yet have a change of heart.
And that is just part of an on-going process of development, backed by chairman Eric Whalley.
Coleman added: "We are not going to stand still and we are always looking to strengthen.
"I haven't been told there is no money left in the pot."
Emley are sure to provide a tough test of Stanley's ability to make a mark in the Premier Division, having secured two impressive wins of their own.
And Coleman will be paying particular attention to the deadball skills of the experienced Paul Davids.
The Reds boss said: "I know it's a cliche but there are no easy games and Emley will be a well-organised side.
"They will relish playing on our surface where they can knock it about a bit and they are capable of beating Conference sides on their day."
Jamie Speare, who received a bang on the head on Tuesday night, has recovered and will retian his place in a full-strength squad for tomorrow and Monday's trip to Barrow.
