CHORLEY are in need of a home tonic against Lincoln having picked up just one point from their first two outings in the UniBond First Division.
Michael Wallace is back in contention despite being withdrawn through injury in the first half of Tuesday's defeat by Witton Albion. David Eatock was also rested for that game with blistered feet and should be fit for tomorrow's game.
Chorley, who travel to Eastwood on Monday, did well against Lincoln last season, winning away and drawing the home game.
Manager Ken Wright said: "I wasn't happy with the last half hour of the first half against Witton and we will have to apply ourselves better, as we did in the second half."
Midfield man Mike Langhorn will miss RAMSBOTTOM UNITED's North West Counties Division One trip to Cheadle Town.
The unfortunate Langhorn suffered a badly-broken nose during United's 1-0 midweek home win over Atherton Colleries. His place could be taken by Danny Goodall, who has recovered from a hamstring strain.
CLITHEROE boss Dave Burgess has not experienced that losing feeling this season -- and doesn't want to start on Saturday at home to Salford City.
Dave took over from Steve Parry in the summer after working with the Blues reserves for five seasons. And, under the new manager, Clitheroe have won their first two Division One games scoring seven goals in the process -- a huge relief after they failed to score in the final seven games of last season.
"The goals don't seem to be a problem any more. It's all come together and we're creating the chances as well," said Dave. "It has been a great start but it's still early days. Ask me at the end of October how I feel if we are still going in the same vein -- and then March!" The Clitheroe boss is also pleased to report a clean bill of health at Shawbridge.
"Salford are one of the fancied teams. I think they are paying a bit of money out but, because I am new to the job, I don't know that much about the other teams so I don't really fear anybody."
Clitheroe then face a tough trip to neighbours Ramsbottom United on Tuesday night.
ROSSENDALE UNITED chief Micky Graham will make late checks on two of his players ahead of his side's Bank Holiday doubleheader.
Steve Cunningham and Darren Norman face fitness tests ahead of tomorrow's clash with Nantwich at Dark Lane. And Dale need to get back on track quickly following a 3-1 reverse against arch-rivals Clitheroe in midweek.
"Some of our players froze, which was very disappointing, and we just didn't play on the night," said Graham. "So it's vital we get back to doing the things we were doing in pre-season quickly."
Dale then face another derby against Great Harwood on Monday -- and Graham is looking for his players to stand up and be counted this time. "It's another derby and the lads should now what's required of them."
Ged Walsh is missing tomorrow.
GREAT HARWOOD TOWN face a tough weekend double-header at home to Newcastle tomorrow and then at Rossendale United on Monday.
However, manager Denis Underwood is in upbeat mood after an encouraging first week.
The Reds have taken just one point from two away games but Underwood insisted: "It's coming together. We are a lot tighter and more disciplined than last season. We just need to get that first win under our belts."
New signing Steve Lynch is a doubtful starter after picking up a knock at Fleetwood in mid-week and Paul Whalley and Martin Horsfield aren't yet back to full fitness. However, Jon Riley may shake off a knock in time to face Newcastle. NELSON welcome back former Everton trainee striker Carl Haworth to their squad for the trip to Tetley Walker, after he missed the first couple of North West Counties Division Two league games with a thigh strain. And manager John Bailey is hoping to build on their 100 per cent start.
He said: "The fixtures were kind to us with two home games because we are usually quite strong at home. We wanted to build on last season and seem to be doing that so far.
"And we owe Tetley Walker one from last season because they beat us at home and scuppered our promotion hopes"
Nelson take on newcomers Stone Dominoes on Monday, kick-off 7.45pm.
BACUP BOROUGH have early season injury worries for their Division Two home game against Warrington Town.
Paul Lyons is out with a knee twisted, Jimmy Gemmill remains doubtful with a calf strain and Steve Gardner is almost certainly out with a hamstring. In addition, Wayne McKenzie is extremely doubtful.
Manager Brent Peters was disappointed with new boy Elton Tudor, signed from amateur football, who did not inform him of a hamstring tweak until just before Tuesday's trip to Nelson.
"I told the players that I want them to be more professional. I was not very happy with him," said Peters.
Tudor remains doubtful and Peters is left with only one recognised centre half, youth player Martin Mellick.
Peters added: "Ronnie Blair, the Warrington manager, will bring a battling side. But I set a target of two draws from the first two games and we've got three points. And Nelson are going to be up there with us challenging for promotion."
Meanwhile, in Bacup's 3-2 defeat at Nelson on Wednesday night, it was Stuart Walters who was sent off for Peter's side while Nelson's skipper Ady Moran was red carded after, the referee's report said, using "foul and abusive language" to a spectator.
COLNE look to open their account in Division Two when they entertain Formby tomorrow before Monday's local derby at home to Padiham.
And DARWEN have no game over the weekend but travel to Warrington Town on Tuesday night.
