FIVE YEARS AGO CLERGYMEN from across East Lancashire turned their backs on a "sexual Ten Commandments" drawn up for vicars after allegations of sexual abuse were made in the Sheffield raves-for-Jesus scandal. The proposed code of practice for ministers lays down guidelines on how vicars should deal with women in their flock. It warned vicars not to meet young women on their own late at night and told them to be aware of their body language, but clergymen said the guidelines were unnecessary.
