FRIENDS and family raised over £1,500 for a little girl who suffers from a rare and crippling disorder.
Lauren Haworth's parents Stephen and Shirley, from Church, have been told their daughter will be confined to a wheel chair by the time she is 10. The two-year-old suffers from a rare form of muscular atrophy which was diagnosed a couple of months ago. Stephen and a dozen friends cycled to Blackpool and back to raise cash for the Keep Lauren Smiling Fund.
All the cash raised will be used to but the specialist equipment needed to help lead as normal as life as possible.
The cyclist set off from the Millstone Pub in Mellor and took around three hours to complete the ride.
