A MULTI-MILLION pound aircraft deal looks set to be confirmed.
India's air force chief has said price negotiations were at an advanced stage to buy Lancashire-built BAE Systems Hawk advanced jet trainers.
The Indian media has reported that the country intends to purchase 30 to 45 Hawk-100 trainers.
India's air force has nearly 800 jet fighters, more than half of which were built by the Soviet Union in the 1950s. French Mirage and British Jaguar fighter aircraft are also part of the fleet.
