CHRIS Davies MEP (Letters, August 22) mentions the 'debate' on the EU. Anything like a debate has never existed.
We have been drip-fed pro-European propaganda for years and led to believe in its 'inevitability,' while Euro-sceptics are ridiculed as Little Englanders.
Mr Davies repeats that a dozen countries are queuing up to join. I have to repeat my earlier questions -- which of them are wealthy nations eager to put more into the pot than they expect to get out of it?
Politicians will always put their own interests first. Those from other European countries are coming to power on the back of centuries-old traditions of graft, cronyism, bribery and fraud in their own lands, which our own are rapidly learning to enjoy.
Will somebody who's not a politician tell me I'm wrong?
