A PRINTER from Ramsbottom has been ordered to pay back £60,450 profits he made from producing fake bank notes.
Anthony Flynn, 54, of Rosebank, was jailed for six years following a trial earlier this year at Manchester Crown Court.
Flynn is believed to have counterfeited £5 notes worth up to £1million.
The notes were of such high quality they were only detected by the Bank of England's clearing house.
A hearing took place at Manchester Crown Court this Wednesday and the judge ordered that Flynn forfeit his alleged profits
If Flynn fails to come up with the cash an extra two years will be added to his sentence and the debt will still be outstanding on his release from prison.
Flynn, a printer of 25 years experience, was arrested after his shop Calder Press in Whiteley Street, Oldham, was raided by officers from the National Crime Squad.
The officers were acting on a tip off and had been investigating the printer for some time.
Flynn pleaded not guilty to two charges of producing counterfeit notes at his trial but was found guilty on both counts.
