A YOUTHFUL Daisy Hill threw away the points against Ashton Town on Monday.
Daisy Hill gave away another first minute goal, fought back to lead 2-1, then slipped up to go down 3-2.
To make matters worse this was Town's first win for 26 matches.
Assistant manager Brian Smith says: "The scoreline did not reflect the quality of some our play but nevertheless it was a bad defeat for us as they are the sort of team we should be beating.
"We have a very young squad of players who are learning the hard way. Any mistake we make at the moment is being punished by a goal.
"we know that we are lacking experience in three or four positions but to attract the right type of player with no available funds will always prove difficult.
"We've now lost three of our first four matches and conceded 17 goals. Our first priority will be to tighten up the defence."
Daisy Hill will be looking for immediate improvement when they meet Holker Old Boys at New Sirs tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
