GREENMOUNT walker Phil Jefferson set himself a blistering charity challenge to walk round the Isle of Wight.
The fleet-footed 38-year-old, pictured, embarked on the trek and has now raised more than £4,000 for Christie's Cancer Appeal.
His desire to complete the 70-mile trek round the Isle's coastal path was sparked by the illness of his young nephew Jack, who contracted a brain tumour earlier this year.
"The care he has received from Christie's is absolutely fantastic, and it spurred me on.
"I chose to walk round the Isle because I had been there as a young lad and I had been toying with the idea of going there on a walking holiday."
Phil, who is a regular walker and also keeps fit with squash and five-a-side football, completed the journey in 29 hours and 30 minutes.
"I walked myself daft for a couple of months beforehand around Holcombe so I was in the best possible condition," he added.
