YOUNGSTERS had bags of time to "check out" exactly what their parents do when they visited Asda's busy store in Pilsworth this week.

They were able to shadow their mums or dads during their work routine and help out in the store themselves.

The "Kids at Work Day" was organised by Asda bosses with around nine youngsters involved in the project.

Children were designated various departments within the store, co-inciding with the sections in which their parents worked.

The organiser of the Pilsworth day was Asda's training co-ordinator, Mrs Judith Davies who was joined by son Ryan.

Apart from being made aware of the everyday tasks their mums and dads are involved in, the "Kids at Work Day" also gave the children an insight into the world of work.

The event has been held annually for a number of years and has proved popular with certain staff and their offspring.

This time around, the youngsters saw for themselves what goes into the running of a busy store and how to keep the customers satisfied.
