WELL-known local snipper Dave Ratcliffe, whose hairdressing salon is in George Street, is organising a reunion of classmates who were at Rivington Road school between 1951 and 1955.
It's to be held at the Sefton Arms on Wednesday, September 13, kicking off at 8pm. Among those attending will be Richard Shacklady, formerly of Windle City, who is jetting in from Sydney for the big bash.
Dave is the son of legendary barber Bill Ratcliffe. Bill's now approaching 90 but still to be found, immaculately dressed beneath his personal pall of smoke, as he puffs on King Edward cigars at Greenalls Club -- his favourite watering-hole.
THOSE wishing to know more about the reunion can ring Dave on St Helens 22815 (shop) or 603559 (home).
