Leigh 26 VISITORS Leigh gave Park a useful warm up to the opening league game

. While Park stuck to their 18 man squad, Leigh, having withdrawn from the scheduled second team fixture brought a 24 man squad and prevailed upon referee Mike Roach to therefore use nine replacements.

Park brought on youngster Andy Lowe, prop Alex Atherton and new signing Gary Monaghan also fielding Carl Bibby at centre on his return to Park after a season's absence.

Outstanding for the green and golds were regulars Carl Wales and Chris Pennington. Leigh took things much more seriously having a man sent off in the closing stages.

On Saturday Park have Lymn as visitors in their first West Two league game with a 3pm start and match sponsors Burchalls Pork Butchers.
