A FAMILY whose home has been the target of vandals twice in three days fear they have become victims of a vendetta.
Henry and Dorothy Pye and their 18-year-old son, Lee, who has cerebral palsy, have lived in Knowsley Road, St Helens, for 28 years and have previously never experienced any problems.
However, in the early hours of one morning they were woken by the sound of glass shattering after someone had thrown a large piece of concrete through their window.
The family were shocked but this turned to terror when the incident was repeated in two days later.
Henry told the Star: "We are all terrified whenever it goes dark now in case it happens again. My son, Lee, has cerebral palsy and he and myself sleep downstairs and the concrete pieces could have caused a serious injury or worse. We have lived here for almost 30 years and never had any trouble. I can't understand why someone seems to have it in for us."
Detective Sergeant Tommy Wright, of St Helens Police's Incident Management Unit, said: "We are aware of two incidents of criminal damage at Mr Pye's home and we will be giving that area extra attention in the next few weeks to try and put a stop to it."
