TOWN centres in Leigh, Tyldesley and Atherton will light up this Christmas to the tune of nearly £25,000.
A council report told members there was "£24,376 available for the provision of Christmas lights for Wigan (£17,339) and Leigh (£7,037) town centres.
"In addition there is £20,000 available on a matched fund basis for all other districts."
These amounts include £4,662.75 for Tyldesley, to match the £9,325.50 already raised, and £1,150.50 for Atherton to match the £2,301 in the coffers.
