A CHARITY is challenging people in East Lancashire to complete Granada's Krypton Factor Assault Course.
The National Heart Research Fund is staging the event on Saturday, September 9, at Holcombe Moor Training Centre, near Bury.
People in East Lancashire have benefited from the charity's work. They have funded research into open heart surgery at Manchester's Wythenshawe Hospital.
Current research will benefit children born with serious heart defects, angina sufferers and patients awaiting heart by-pass surgery.
The demanding assault course, which featured on television for many years, has 18 obstacles and four lanes.
Army personnel will give a full briefing and supervise the event to ensure safety.
Companies have been targeted to form teams of four and each team must raise £100. Individuals who can make up teams of four can also take part.
Participants must be fit, able-bodied and aged over 16.
Ros Jenkins, chief executive for the National Heart Research Fund said: "This exhilarating event will enable the fit and healthy to help those less fortunate. Our charity has in the past enabled heart sufferers in East Lancashire to lead healthier and fuller lives."
