PRESTON cyclist Paul Jordan is gearing up to give it some pedal power as he embarks on a massive 500km cycle ride along the banks of the River Nile.
Paul, 42, from Ashton, will be joining a group of 100 cyclists to raise cash for MENCAP, the charity for the mentally handicapped.
And charity champ Paul is hoping to raise lots of sponsorship for his efforts.
Despite the sweltering heat and dry climate, the group expect to cover 100kms each day, as part of the five day trip in Egypt.
Anyone wishing to support Paul on his mighty mission should call 727198.
