BLACKPOOL based Lynette Horsburgh (pictured) was runner-up in the Ladies Regal Masters tournemant last Sunday (August 27).
Defending champion Kelly Fisher, the ladies World Number One and the Ladies Embassy World Snooker Champion claimed the prestigious title for a record breaking fourth time in five years with a 4-0 final defeat of Lynette in the final at Spencer's Leisure in Stirling.
The £6,250 Ladies Regal Masters is the second richest tournament on the ladies' circuit and Kelly Fisher, collected a £1,270 first prize, leaving Lynette -- the World Number Two -- with £630.
In the final, Kelly took the first three frames comfortably 64-28, 62-29 and 69-44 and, trailing 38-42 in the fourth, potted pink and black for a convincing 4-0 victory. She also picked up the £120 high break prize for a superb 91 in the quarter-final.
Lynette, 26, said: "I hadn't played that well all weekend and I was really pleased to have reached the final. This is the first tournament of the season and, good luck to Kelly, she fully deserved her victory."
It was third time in the last six years that Lynette, whose family come from Glasgow, has finished runner-up after winning the Ladies Regal Masters in 1991.
