A RAUNCHY advert in phone boxes around Blackpool has become the latest target for thieves.
Men have been spotted ripping out the poster, pictured here, of an attractive larger-than-life-size woman wearing a tight white T-shirt
The Starburst advert, part of a seaside advertising campaign, has been placed in phone boxes all over the town. But they seem to have become a cult collection and are being ripped out as fast as they are being put up.
The posters have already gone missing out of phone boxes on Westcliffe Drive, Central Drive and Lytham Road and a man was spotted taking one out of a phone box opposite the Lido baths in South Shore this week.
Sarah Lysis, of British Telecom, said she was not aware the adverts were in such high demand. "We had a lot of posters stolen when we featured George Michael in our kiosks but we are not aware of the theft of the Starburst girl," she said.
