THANKS to an anonymous legacy, Lancaster Council for Voluntary Service have been able to produce a valuable directory for older people living in the district.
A mine of local information, the directory is free to local
people. It includes information about alarm systems, how to get the queen's card for centenaries and weddings, social clubs, luncheon clubs and education, essential repairs on your home, voluntary work and much, much more.
Information worker Jane Attfield says, "We've had a lot of positive feed-back from the older persons' forum and from individuals saying how useful it is to have around the house".
If you would like a copy of the directory, contact Lancaster District Council for Voluntary Service at Trinity Community Centre in Middle Street or call 63760. You could also call in at your Local Age Concern.
