SOAP fans dying to know the inside story on the Coronation Street wedding of the year will not get a word out of chauffeur Ken Unsworth.
Ken has taken a vow of silence on the hot soap story after he was recruited to drive Mike Baldwin and Linda Sykes to their wedding in his vintage 1926 Rolls Royce Turner.
While the rest of the nation tunes in on Sunday, September 10, to see if Linda finally marries Mike or declares her love for MIke's son Mark, Ken will be watching to see if his TV debut has been a success.
Ken, chauffeur and general manager of Vintage Wedding Cars, Grimshaw Park, Blackburn, has been inundated with offers and bribes to reveal what happened when he was at Cheshire's Arley Hall where the story was filmed.
He said: "As a professional chauffeur I am sworn to secrecy. You hear a lot of confidential information as part of the job but a chauffeur will never, never reveal."
As part of the filming Ken had more passengers than he bargained for as a cameraman, boom operators, sound engineer and director all balanced on the running boards of the car as the action unfolded.
Ken said: "The car was a bit of a star with the Coronation Street cast, who in-between filming, kept coming over to look at it and ask me all sorts of questions. It was amazing to see an episode of Coronation Street being filmed with all the cast members there."
Ken's car is no stranger to the showbiz world as it was last seen at the wedding of the Street's Ashley and Maxine.
