IT is good news that Rishton youngster Aaron Grimshaw has won his appeal (LET, September 1) and will now attend Norden High School and is to be applauded as common sense prevailing over uncaring logic by the local education authority.
Unless parents take a stand against the unreasonable decisions made on our children's behalf, we can foresee future heartache for many families across East Lancashire.
It is to be hoped that the decision-makers of Preston take notice of Aaron's campaign and understand that East Lancashire parents will continue to demand what they believe is their right -- to an acceptable school place in the area they live.
Ribble Valley Schools for Ribble Valley Children (RVSRVC) campaign group was formed in 1998 to help support Ribble Valley children who wish to attend a school in the borough.
We will continue for as long as it takes to attain our goal -- Ribble Valley schools for all Ribble Valley children, not only for this year, but next year and for all future years.
STUART FINCH, RVSRVC, Whalley Road, Wilpshire, Blackburn.
