A DAIRY unit in Norfolk Street, Nelson, has been granted planning permission by councillors.
A public meeting with nearby residents had ironed out concerns over noise and traffic danger, Pendle Council's Nelson area committee heard .
The meeting was told wagons had been delivering milk as early as 5.15am although the owner had since asked delivery companies not to arrive before 7am.
The refrigerated unit, used as a base for milk delivery rounds, has been operating since the start of this year. The owner put in a retrospective planning application.
Permission was granted for a 12-month trial period subject to no milk deliveries being made before 6.30am and the unit opening only to milk floats between 8am and 9am and 3pm to 4pm.
