POLICE are trying to trace a good samaritan who came to the aid of a mum-to-be who was attacked in a Blackburn park.
The 18-year-old, who is four months pregnant, was set upon by three youths in Corporation Park last Thursday.
The youths pushed her to the ground and stole her handbag, containing property worth around £90 including a mobile phone. A man who was in the park chased the three muggers before coming to the aid of the woman.
The incident took place around 12.30pm and police want to talk to anyone else who was in the park at the time
PC Tracy Lowe said: "This was a nasty attack on a vulnerable woman but fortunately this lady was not seriously hurt.
"It is important we talk to this good samaritan as he might be able to track down these three youths as well as anyone else who can help us with our inquiries."
The attackers were all aged around 18. One was white, 5ft 4in, chubby, had short mousey coloured hair and was wearing a white bubble jacket.
The second youth was white, around 5ft 7in skinny with short blond hair and was wearing a beige denim jacket and trainers.
Their accomplice was Asian had a medium build, black cropped hair and was wearing dark clothing.
