IT'S DONCASTER Yearling sales again this week -- the past year seems to have gone so quickly.
I am off to the sales with trainer Kevin Ryan who has had such brilliant success this season.
Kevin is looking to buy up to 20 yearlings in the Doncaster St Leger Sales, Tattersalls Ireland and the Newmarket sales, so his success this season has reaped the rewards it deserves.
The table will be full to capacity with 42 horses for next season, that's an increase of 10 horses on the season.
If there is rain before tomorrow at Doncaster I believe that Where's Jasper could given Kevin Ryan his biggest two-year-old success of his career in the £200,000 St Leger Yearling Stakes.
Hambleton Highlite arrived back at the stables last night after a four week break with ex-jockey and Racing Post journalist Tom O'Ryan.
Tom always returns horses from his paddocks looking ready for a show in first class condition and the plan is to run Hambleton Highlight in about three weeks.
Ribble Assembley runs over hurdles at Bangor on Saturday, I am a little doubtful whether he will stay the two and a half miles.
At Doncaster tomorrow, Healey trained by James Bethell will take all the beating in the opening conditions stakes.
On Thursday at Doncaster, again in the opener, Astonished will probably start at a short price, but I cannot see it getting beat.
Les Eyre's stables are full of confidence in Amaranth to win first time over seven furlongs, leading amateur jockey Dianna Jones, who won on the horse at Newmarket 10 days ago, told me that if jockey Daryl Holland can get him to settle this seven furlongs could be his best trip.
Meanwhile, at Doncaster on Friday I expect big races from Labrett and Polar Red who is a filly that keeps improving.
On Saturday we have the last classic of the year in the Group One St Leger Stakes and I would like to see Air Marshall of Sir Michael Stoute win from Millerary for the forecast.
Also at Doncaster on Saturday Attache of Mark Johnstone will have the racecourse winning experience to beat Calling Dot Com who I have had a good word for.
John Ferneley, who won the Lincolnshire at the first meeting of the season at Doncaster, can win the Porcelanosa Rated Stakes on Saturday at a decent price.
Have a good week.
