IT was the moment every woman dreams of.
The man you love, on one knee, asking you to marry him.
It should be the most private and romantic of moments.
But bride to be Christine Bramley shared her surprise special moment with a roomful of revellers at a pub disco!
Christine and her landlord partner Graham Swimby became engaged to be married in front of friends and regulars at the Station Hotel, Cherry Tree, Blackburn, where they have been behind the bar for the last four years. The proposal came as a shock to Christine but, with the encouragement of everyone at the disco and quiz night, she said yes!
Christine said: "We were just having drink in the bar during the disco when Graham disappeared. The next thing I knew he was on the DJ's microphone asking me to come to the dancefloor.
"He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him."
"All the regulars were cheering and I just said yes."
Graham added: "It was a spur of the moment thing really. "Nobody knew I was going to do it, least of all Christine. I'm just glad she said yes."
The couple have not yet set a date for the big day but no doubt the regulars from the pub will be on the guest list!
