A TEENAGE girl was indecently assaulted by a drunken man on a bus in Burnley.
The girl, aged 14, got on the number one bus at Burnley bus station to Stoops and Rosegrove at 9pm last night.
Det Sgt Peter Simm said she had to pass a man smelling heavily of drink who was having difficulty paying his fare.
When she sat down the drunk sat opposite her, stared at her and said she was sexy.
He then sat next to her and put his hand on her leg. She pushed him away.
The girl got off the bus at the first stop on St Matthews' Street and ran down to her friend's house on Coal Clough Lane.
She noticed the man got off on the first stop on Scott Park Road, which DC Simm said led police to believe he was local to that area.
He is white, early 20s, 6ft, of slim build, with light brown hair, bushy eyebrows, a broken nose, with a sliver hooped earring. He was wearing a black bob hat, blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms with an orange stripe, light blue bobble jacket and white Reebok trainers.
Anyone with information is asked to ring Burnley CID on 01282 472144 or tell Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555111.
