TRADING Standards investigated a council flat-based company called Cashmaster which promised members up to £12,500 a year in return for a "one-off" cash investment of £50.
Leaflets distributed in Blackburn claimed that members could receive huge profits, but trading standards officers stressed that they may not get their money back.
