I THOUGHT it was time for someone to comment on the seafront lighting project and to congratulate the team of workers who are involved in producing the whole thing.
I have to say that so far they have managed to carry out extensive work on the seafront without any disruption or noise to upset promenade users.
The team involved are hard working, friendly and informative and they deserve a 'pat on the back' for the way they have conducted themselves.
Much of the work has involved digging trenches across flower borders, lawns and even the road, but they have been quick and discreet and at the end of each day, you would hardly know they had been there.
They dug a trench across the road outside our shop last week and I have to admit that we all groaned, thinking that the road would be up for the coming weeks But no!
The backfill arrived before they had even lifted the Tarmac and by teatime the whole job was complete and everything back as it should be.
Whoever it was who contracted these people deserves a big thank you from us all.
