I NOTICE the council has repeated its regular cry against dog dirt.
If this is the only misdemeanour they have to fine, is it not time to let them have a list of real issues?
Dog dirt does not pollute and is bio-degradable. Not so plastic bags and wrappings littered all over the streets, along with other litter. The list is endless.
There are two true ecological disasters in the form of the old mineral lines that used to be owned by British Coal, who sent "missionaries" every quarter to remove the disgusting, non-biodegradable mess.
The new owner never lifts a finger. Old beds, junk, you name it, form a mountain of mess.
Who is the new owner? It is Wigan Council.
I find it highly unlikely that I would ever see dogs produce the same Everest of mess that exists there. The council closes its eyes to what it doesn't want to see.
