Prescot Cables 0
Bedlington Terriers 2 PRESCOT bowed out of the FA Cup at the hands of a team who have been the Northern League Champions for the past three seasons.
Prescot started brightly with O'Neill twice going close and Garforth and Hayes shooting wide.
But Bedlington nearly took the lead after 12 minutes when they got the ball into the net from a well-rehearsed free- kick but, it was disallowed for offside.
With 30 minutes gone, three Bedlington players found themselves beyond the Prescot defence with only Dahl to beat. Dahl's presence was enough to thwart the attack and allow the defence to recover.
In Bedlington's next attack Chaplin was brought down just inside the box and Milner scored from the resultant penalty to give the visitors the lead.
Prescot started the second half as they had started the first, with Garforth shooting just wide from 20 yards and Weston bringing a save from Bedlington keeper O'Connor.
Prescot came within a whisker of an equaliser when Warder hit an absolute screamer that skimmed the top of the crossbar. Prescot were caught on the break as Milner scored Bedlington's second with two minutes to go.
