NEW BOYS Shaun McHugh and Scot Wilson go straight into the Radcliffe Borough team for Saturday's trip to Lincoln United.
McHugh has joined Boro from Bamber Bridge and manager Kevin Glendon hopes he will bolster the back four that has leaked goals at an alarming rate recently.
Wilson, signed from Altrincham, was with Rochdale last season and he will add competition to an already handy set of midfield players.
Neil Hardy is also back in the starting line-up after being left on the bench last Saturday against Rossington in the FA Cup pending a proposed move to Conference side Southport.
The Sandgrounders won't come up with the sum Glendon wants, thought to be around £5,000, so its stalemate at the moment and Hardy stays at Boro for the foreseeable future.
Striker Ian Lunt has shaken off the injury he picked up against Rossington and will take his place alongside Hardy up front.
Goalkeeper Steve Berryman came through his first training session this wek following a shoulder injury, but won't be back in contention just yet. Lincoln followed Radcliffe up into Division One and are in a similar position to them at the moment. They finished mid-table in the last couple of seasons.
"They are a footballing side so there could be plenty of goals at both ends," said Glendon. "We need a win though and we are going there aiming to kick-start our league season.
"We have got a lot of young lads in the team and I am going to go with it because we are not in the market to go spending money to bring people in. People are just going to have to be patient."
Meanwhile, its bad news regarding defender Jason Astley. He is awaiting surgery on a cruciate ligament injury and is unlikely to play again this season.
Meanwhile, news of Boro old boys Loz Greenhalgh and Tony Carroll. They have teamed up again at North West Counties Division One side Salford City.
Boro entertain Farsley Celtic at Stainton Park on Monday night in a league match with a 7.45pm kick-off.
