THE Royal Air Force Association will hold its annual dinner on Saturday, September 9, followed by the 60th anniversary Battle of Britain parade and service on Sunday, September 17.
The dinner will take place at the Unison club, Bishop Road, and will be attended by the Mayor, Councillor Pat Robinson, and Air Training Corps commanding officer, Flight Lieutenant Wood.
The parade will form up at the Royal Navy club, Volunteer Street, at 2pm, and march to the Parish Church for a service at 3pm, which will be conducted by Reverends Christopher Byworth and Roy Doran.
A march-past of the war memorial in Victoria Square will be followed by a get-together at the Navy club.
