WE are a small group of people who are very interested in the delightful books written by Warwick Deeping (1877-1950).
Probably the best-known work is Sorrel and Son written in 1925 which went into at least 41 editions and still in print in the 1970s after being made into a film in 1933.
Several of the author's 70 books were being reprinted more than 20 years after they were first published and we have been informed that librarians still receive requests for certain titles today.
Our aim is to contact other people who enjoy reading Deeping's books and, between us, find out more about the life and works of this one time enormously popular novelist.
Anyone who is interested in helping us in this venture is invited to get in touch with me.
