SAM Allardyce believes injury hit Bolton can bounce back from the mid-week Worthington Cup humiliation at Macclesfield when they hit the First Division road to Huddersfield tomorrow.
"We have to hope the Macclesfield defeat was a one off. Injuries caught up with us and I knew it had to happen at some time," said Sam. "It could work in our favour tomorrow by producing a kick up the pants reaction."
Central defender Mark Fish will be missing with ligament problems although he is not expected to be out for as long as first expected. "We feared the worst when Mark got the injury but there isn't much damage, more general soreness," said Allardyce.
Allardyce is not in a position to name his squad until later.
But he hopes that defenders Simon Charlton and Mike Whitlow will be in a position to return as Wanderers look to continue their fine start to the league programme.
