EAST Lancashire people are gearing up for this year's European Week for Safety and Health.
The event looks set to break all previous records with thousands of organisations across the UK preparing to take part.
The week, which runs from October 16 to 22 coincides with Back Care Week and the emphasis will be on reducing back pain and musculoskeletal disorders.
The special week aims to increase awareness, identify solutions and support practical projects in the workplace.
The Health and Safety Executive organises the annual event and firms and businesses of all sizes are invited to do something, however small, to make improvements within their own environment.
A free action pack, containing posters, good health guides and fact sheets is available on the HSE hotline on 0845 2701100.
