ROYAL Lytham and St Annes professional Scott Astin has set a Wilpshire course record for the second time.
As an amateur in 1995 he shot a record 64 in winning the Wilpshire Trophy. He returned to the club to play in the club's £6,000 pro-am yesterday -- and posted a new record 65 for the recently lengthened course.
Scott netted four consequetive threes from the fifth hole to be out in three under par 32. He took the £1,000 first prize. Simon Townend, a professional attached to Wilpshire, was second with 67.
David Shacklady (Leisure Lakes) and Jeff Mathews (Blackburn Driving Range)were amongst those tied in third on 68.

Thieves broke into the official PGA van, parked outside the club house overnight, and stole a photocopier and other equipment.
