REGARDING Roland Whinney's reference to 'bemedalled buffoons' leading Remembrance Day processions (LET, Nocember 15), I was one of those so-called and was in attendance at the service held at the Garden of Remembrance in Blackburn on November 12.
Yes, my feathers have been ruffled, as he mentioned. However, unlike him, I don't occupy such a high moralistic perch.
I would be interested to know of Mr Whinney's experiences between 1939-1945 -- that is, if he has any.
D BULLEN (Mr), Albany Road, Blackburn.
