A HERION addict who used a stolen cheque book to get drugs cash, is awaiting sentence.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Paul John Hutchins, 26, was in possession of the book not long after it was taken in a burglary in Padiham.
There was no suggestion he was the house-breaker.
Hutchins, of The Starkie Arms, Church Street, Padiham, admitted three counts of deception , asked for two offences to be considered and was bailed until 12 December, for a pre-sentence report.
Bill Berry, defending, said Hutchins had taken steps to addess his problems.
He was in touch with the community drugs team and had received notification of a placement on a programme, starting at the beginning of December for nine months.
