TWO bogus officials stole £20 from a Prestwich pensioner after bluffing their way into his home.
They called at the 74-year-old man's house in Cuckoo Lane and said they were from the water board.
They searched the property before escaping with the cash.
One was 6ft tall, slim build, aged in his mid-20s and had stubble on his face. He spoke with an Irish accent.
His accomplice was between 5ft 6inch-10inch in height and of medium build.
Anyone with information about the burglary, which happened at 12 noon on Thursday (Nov 16), is asked to ring Whitefield CID on 856 8248 or freephone CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
