A 24-YEAR-OLD Whitefield supermarket manager was robbed at knifepoint before being locked in a storeroom.
The two raiders escaped with a large quantity of cigarettes from the Kwik Save store in the town's Elms Square.
Earlier, they had lain in wait for the store manager after puncturing a tyre of his Renault Clio car parked outside.
As he was replacing the tyre, he felt something being pushed into the back of his head while the second raider threatened him with a knife.
After being bundled back into the store and locked in a room at the rear of the premises, the thugs stole a large quantity of cigarettes and escaped in the store manager's car.
It was later found burned out in Rochdale. The robbery happened around 7.45pm on Thursday Nov 16).
Both raiders were wearing dark clothing and hooded jackets pulled tightly around their faces.
