EWOOD chief Graeme Souness today called on his players to start taking responsibility for their actions in the wake of John Filan's criticism at being dropped last weekend.
"I told the players from day one that Brad was going to be my number one so I can't understand the comments that have been made," said Souness.
"People at this club have to fully understand that we are in the First Division and some of the people who maybe complain are partly responsible for us being in the First Division.
"So when I hear people say 'I've done nothing wrong, I've made no mistakes,' that's a load of cobblers as far as I'm concerned.
"Each and everyone of us has a responsibility to this club.
"Whatever has happened in the past has happened, but we've got to face up to the consequences of that.
"We are playing in the First Division and somebody, somewhere has got to accept some responsibility.
"So I'm not interested in people whingeing."
