POLICE are looking for a sneak thief with a bizarre taste in music.

Between 9.20pm and midnight on Wednesday, November 15, a man stole a black record bag displaying a Guinness Draught logo, from the Student's Union bar in Fylde Road, Preston.

The bag contained various items including CDs entitled Madam Pat and her orchestra, Pat Thompson, Buena Vista Social Club Unforgettable, Fats Waller Penguin and Cafe Primer Bytes Black.

The man is described as white, approximately 6ft tall, of large plump build with brown receding hair and wearing round glasses and a red or purple jumper.

A yellow Motoroma Wasp 50cc scooter was stolen from the car park of Christ the King School, in Lawrence Avenue, Preston, at about 2.18pm on Wednesday, November 15.

Police are looking for two white men. The first was wearing dark trousers and a white tracksuit-style top with blue bands below the armpit. The other man was wearing dark clothing. On Sunday, November 12, at around 1.50am, a taxi driver was driving two men to Preston Police Station, in Lawson Street, after they refused to pay him, when they smashed the rear nearside window and ran off.

Both men are described as white. The first man was wearing a red top and blue jeans while the second wore a blue polo neck jumper and blue jeans.

At around 8.50am on Tuesday, November 14, three white youths entered the Late Store in Norbreck Drive, on the Larches estate, in Lea, and stole a quantity of milk shakes, swiss rolls and sweets, while the shop assistant's attention was temporarily distracted.

The first youth was aged about 16, wearing a blue coloured jacket and white baseball cap. The second wearing a school uniform while the third had short cropped hair.

At 3.30pm on Sunday, November 12, an elderly woman was getting her keys out of her shopping bag, which she had placed on the pavement outside her house on Annis Street, in Preston. She was approached from behind by a youth who snatched her purse from out of her bag, containing £30 and a gold bracelet, before making his escape on a cycle.

The youth was approximately 5ft 6ins, slim build and wearing a blue anorak and multicoloured hat.
