HOW happy I was to read (November 16) that The Citizen has backed the pressure group ARROW (Action to Reduce and Recycle our Waste) in their campaign to stop incinerators being built in Lancashire.
It is about time that people in the area took steps to stop the creation of these plants.
We keep hearing that they won't cause no danger to public health, but how do we know?
This is what they said about beef and now we have more cases of CJD than anywhere in Europe.
I will certainly be writing to my councillor and MP about this matter and would urge other readers to do the same.
Well done to The Citizen for backing this awful incineration plan. Lets hope these proposals get flushed down the loo!
Mr R Roberts,
Ribbleton Lane,
Preston.
