IT is quite obvious that your correspondent, self-styled "British Patriot" (Nov 21) has a very short memory.
I was only a boy on Merseyside during World War Two but I vividly remember soldiers and sailors of all nationalities, creed and colour, standing shoulder to shoulder to defend freedom.
If the person who cannot even sign his or her name to such a misguided letter also consider themselves to be a Christian, they should look long and hard at their beliefs.
We have campaigned to have the two-minute silence reinstated, and we need to encourage youngsters to understand why we continue to remember those who gave their all so that we might live.
No "British Patriot", you are not a patriot, nor are you a Christian.
