Frost is due
FINNISH-based Rovers fan Micke Frost is planning a flying visit to Ewood over Christmas and he wants your help!
The 24-year-old from Helsinki is hoping to jet over to watch his favourite team in action sometime between the end of December and January.
And he's looking for some accommodation for him and his girlfriend, Satu.
If anyone can help, then Micke would be delighted to hear from you.
He's a keen mad-keen Rovers fan after buying a Subbuteo team donned in the famous blue and white halves.
Write to him at Micke Frost, Sofianlehdonkatu 11 d 24, 00610 Helsinki, Finland or you can email him on Blackburnfin@yahoo.com.
Material witness
SPEAKING of old strips, it was good to see the 125th anniversary kit become such a big hit with fans at last weekend's birthday bash against Wolves.
Call me old fashioned, but there was something refreshing about seeing a more traditional shirt with numbers one to 11, untouched by sponsors logos. It's a pity the players didn't think the same, however, as some complained the old-style material made them too heavy!
And I thought they just looked weighed down by expectation.
I wonder what Ronnie Clayton and Co would have thought of it all.
Dunn derby
THE first league meeting between Rovers and Burnley in 17 years maybe just around the corner.
But England Under 21 skipper David Dunn is making some last minute preparations ahead of a far more epic match.
Dunn and Burnley's Paul Weller will go head-to-head over a game of FIFA 2000 on the Sony Playstation in a special fundraiser for a local football team in the week before the derby game.
A question and answer session featuring both players and a couple of other panelists will then follow.
So watch this space for further details over the next few weeks.
FORMER Rovers trainee David Worrell has joined Plymouth Argyle on a three month loan from Dundee United.
